My personal goals involve buying as few new clothing pieces as possible… but one category of clothing for which that criteria is difficult to meet is the socks and underwear category! On Depop, sometimes I will find some new socks, where they’ve not even been taken out of the packaging but that is quite rate.
So, some more fancy brands that produce sustainable underwear are if you’re in the US: ARQ (bra, pictured), Knickey (underwear), and Girlfriend (sporty bra and leggings). I’ve not tried any of these or the following clothing brands but they are ones that I would add onto a wishlist if I was looking for more of these products!
Up-scale and sustainable underwear brands I’ve encountered from the UK are Stripe and Stare and Fruity Booty.
A nice (UK) sock company is called Stand 4 Socks. They give a pair of socks to the homeless with every pair of socks that you buy! It’s quite a simple concept, but if you’re looking to buy socks, why not then buy from them!?
Like I said, I’ve not tried any of these brands, but I just think if you’re going to buy something new, socks and underwear is a good one. And these are some lovely-looking not-everyday brands that could definitely land on a wishlist!
